According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) incoming orders in the manufacturing sector fell by 0.2% in April 2024 compared to March 2024, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects. In a three-month comparison, incoming orders from February 2024 to April 2024 were 5.4% lower than in the previous three months, mainly due to a large order in December 2023.
