Business activity continued rising across the German service sector in May, with stronger underlying demand providing added impetus to the upturn, the latest HCOB PMI® survey compiled by S&P Global showed. Services firms meanwhile upped the rate of job creation as they reported increased optimism towards growth prospects in the coming year. Inflationary pressures in the economy's largest sector eased midway through the second quarter.
